Headless CRM is an Opportunity for Nonprofits

Stacey Segal published a blog post that I am sending to all of my clients.

Salesforce’s Anthropic announcement is a formal validation that headless CRM is happening.

It will help Salesforce serve their clients, but I think will also create new options for nonprofit organizations.

More choice is always better for nonprofits.

What I find compelling about headless CRM is that it will provide an alternative to the platform solutions.
The platform solutions won’t be going anywhere, but I think headless CRM will evolve to where nonprofits can:

use much easier to digest solutions like ROI, Virtuous, and RE NXT (and probably others) along with critical best of breed solutions;

combine them with modern data architectures (which Stacey explains well);

and combine that with solutions that nonprofits build with AI to fill the most precious functionality they need from a CRM that their solution doesn’t offer.

Done right, this could decrease opex and provide an organization with functionality and analytics that aren’t otherwise affordable or feasible.
This will come with challenges and Stacey’s post does a great job of framing them.

Stay tuned!
